(しょうがない)is a common phrase which means "it can't be helped"/ "too bad". But the words "Shooga nai" also mean...there is no ginger... Remi responds to the puns by saying "samui" which means "cold". The joke is so bad it is like a cold wind blowing through. "samui" is a common way to say something is not funny or a bad joke. Later she says "sara ni samui" which means that it is even more samui. That's why remi is snuggled in a blanket:) Ken- Do you have juice with shouga (ginger) in it. Clerk- no Ken- jaa shou ga nai(It can't be helped/there is no ginger).
